Keep the refrigerator and freezer doors shut to hold temperature. Move the most perishable items or irreplaceable wine to a working unit if you have one. If you smell gas, do not touch switches or appliances: leave the home and call your gas utility first, then call us once you are safe. The sooner we know, the sooner we can prioritize your visit.
What Qualifies as an Emergency
- No cooling: a refrigerator or freezer above 40°F that has stopped holding temperature, threatening your food.
- Wine at risk: a wine cooler or wine column drifting out of range, endangering a collection.
- Gas or heat concerns: a range, cooktop, or wall oven that will not shut off, or any smell of gas. If you smell gas, leave and call your gas utility first.
- Water intrusion: a dishwasher leaking or standing water that could damage cabinetry or flooring.
- Ice loss: an ice maker or system failure ahead of an event you cannot reschedule.
